Sacraments for Youth
The catechetical formation of young children begins many years prior to any formal instruction. The role of the family in the faith formation of their children does not end, but continues when children begin school. Parents continue to share their faith with their children through daily prayer, regular participation in Sunday Liturgy, and as ongoing witnesses to their faith. Family, school and parish prepare children to receive the sacraments. The program director at Sacred Heart Parish is Yolanda Richards.

Baptism
Infants - Interview and attending a baptism retreat are required for parents.
Older Children - Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) is a journey of faith that prepares older children for baptism.
Reconciliation
Generally, reconciliation is offered every Saturday at 11 am. However, some exception do apply. Call parish if you are not sure.

Matrimony
Plan to book at least 6 months ahead time. Marriage preparation courses are part of the process. Contact Pastor to discuss in more detail.

RCIA(Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
The RCIA is a discernment process by which non baptized candidates are received into the Catholic Church while baptized members who wish to join the Catholic Church are received into the Church through penance, profession of faith, confirmation, and the holy Eucharist. RCIA reviews Church doctrine, liturgy, Church life, and service. It involves the larger Church community in welcoming, instructing, helping and praying for Candidates. RCIA is offered once a year, beginning in September and culminating at Pentecost.
